fertilizer factories closure

Dr Sherif ElGabaly to Lamis ElHadidi

Dr. Sherif El-Gebali, head of the Chemical Industries Chamber at the Federation of Egyptian Industries, revealed that approximately six fertilizer factories have shut down. He noted that each factory's production ranges between 50,000 and 150,000 tons per month, depending on the size of the plant. During a phone call with the "Last Word" program on ON TV, he added that the factories will shut down for the time being, explaining that the problem is not the availability of gas, as Egypt has contracted for the required shipments, and vessels have already arrived to convert liquefied gas to natural gas within the network.
